In a sneak peak of what is to come, SHOWME Caribbean just released a 360-degree aerial photo taken via drone over Marigot in Saint Martin. You can zoom around to see that things are looking exceptional just seven months after hurricane Irma. And if you’re wondering, this was shot the week of March 26, 2018. Yep, just last week.
You’ll notice that there aren’t many blue tarps left on roofs in this photo. Sure, there are a few, but this certainly should help shake any stigma about Saint Martin not being ready for tourists. Clearly, Marigot looks ready, and I can tell you from visiting there several times so far this year, it absolutely is ready and waiting for all comers.
This photo will become part of the SHOWME Caribbean 360-degree interactive tour of the entire island of Saint Martin, which is set to be released before the end of April. You can see the pre-Irma version here to get an idea of what to expect. It will be the most complete imagery of Saint Martin published since Irma hit.
