Like the rest of the World, Anguilla has been severely impacted by the effects of COVID-19. After a complete shutdown last spring, they created a bubble system for visitors to be able to come to the island and stay within restricted areas during the required quaratine period. Nearly one year after the initial shutdown, the Government of Anguilla has issued a COVID-19 Exit Strategy.
Beginning immediately and effective as of April 12, 2021, the quarantine — or stay in place — mandate is being reduced from 14 days to 7 days for travelers who are fully vaccinated with the final dose administered at least three weeks prior to arrival. Travelers must still submit a negative RT-PCR test 3-5 days prior to their arrival, and be tested again on arrival and at the end of the quarantine period.
Testing requirements will be reduced even further starting on July 1, 2021.
As of the 1st of July, fully vaccinated travelers will no longer be required to quarantine upon arrival if the final vaccine dose is administered at least three weeks in advance of arrival. In addition, vaccinated travelers will no longer be tested on arrival but will still be required to submit a negative RT-PCR test 3-5 days before arrival.
That’s not all, folks. Beginning October 1, 2021, the application for entry to Anguilla will no longer be required and the bubble concept will be removed completely. However, all visitors will be required to show proof of vaccination.
